NESTLE Commercial Graduate Program

The ProGrad recruitment drive has begun to source Nestle’s top graduates for their latest graduate recruitment drive across Australia.  Many of the pre-selected candidates have been asked to attend assessment days with ProGrad over forthcoming weeks, however if you havent yet applied and would like to be considered for a role, please contact our Graduate Recruitment Team at ProGrad on 02 8235 8300.  Virginia is one of our Graduate Recruiters helping Nestle with the intake, and she is looking for graduates with at least 12 months of commercial experience ready to embark on a rotational graduate program within this multinational. 

Nestle have an incredible culture and can offer a range of careers for graduates following a successful 2 year sales and marketing program.  Based at their offices, the graduates are exposed to a variety of brands and start their commercial career within their field sales team, looking after a designated territory.  Following a successful rotation here, the graduates also have the ability to move into Marketing.

ProGrad Melbourne Assessment Day, 29th September

All spaces are now filled for the ProGrad Assessment Day in Melbourne tomorrow, and with over 45 people invited it is set to be a great day.  Competition is fierce in Melbourne and therefore we do strongly recommend that candidates ensure appropriate business dress is worn, and that adequate preparation is complete.

The Assessment Day will kick off at 189 Queen Street, Melbourne and will commence at 12.30pm.  We will be joined by several Graduate Employers from a variety of multi-nationals who are looking to head hunt graduates on the day.

We are assessing for competencies during the assessment day, such as confidence, verbal communication skills, and the ability to present in front of a panel of prospective graduate employers. 

Our ProGrad Assessment Day is not about your degree, it is about you as an individual.  Every week we are visited by a mix of graduates.  A vast range of degrees will always be present and we will not be assessing you based on whether you studied journalism, engineering, marketing or commerce.  If you have an aptitude for business to business sales or marketing, then we would like to speak to you.

ProGrad Graduate Case Study, Amanda

ProGrad placed Amanda in her first graduate role after leaving University.  Amanda successfully passed the ProGrad assessment day and soon secured a role within a leading FMCG company based in Sydney.  We asked Amanda for a few words to share on our websites to assist other graduates to get an idea for the types of roles available for graduates through ProGrad.

“I studied a Bachelor of Business majoring in accounting in New Zealand. In 2002 I worked as a tax investigator for the IRD and then I spent 5 years working on cruise ships.

I found the assessment day long and intimidating. There were no facial expression  or acknowledgement provided when presenting my speech.

I was put out to 3 roles with ProGrad and I had to make a decision on which one I wanted . I had 2 interviews with the company I now work at.  I found them to be prompt and professional and the company suited my personality.

I work for an FMCG company, I have moved into a  BDM role and I’m looking after 600 clients.

I really liked meeting others in the same situation when on ProGrad training, it’s great for sharing ideas and provides practical knowledge rather than theory.

I appreicate the continual contact with ProGrad and their approachable manner and advice.”
